Assisted Living

Kissito Healthcare’s Assisted living program offers a housing alternative for older adults who may need help with dressing, bathing, eating, and toileting, but do not require the intensive medical and nursing care provided in nursing homes.

Located on the campus of our post acute and skilled nursing units, and adjacent to the region’s acute care hospital campus; you can be assured your loved one is going to be in the safest environment should they need more extensive services beyond our assisted living facility.Residents have their own units or apartment. In addition to having a support staff and providing meals, we offer the following services:

• Health care management and monitoring
• Help with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating
• Medication reminders and/or help with medications
• Recreational activities
• Security
• Private Rooms
• 24 hour supervision
• Emergency call system
• On site state of the art rehabilitation gym
• Activities that promote your individual needs
• Housekeeping Services
• Laundry Service
• Beauty Salon
• Library
• Computers available on site ( residents can send and receive emails from family )
• Movie Area
• Private Dining (3 nutritious meals per day plus many offerings of snacks)
• Assistance in setting up meetings and appointments
• Transportation to medical appointments and outside activities
• Located adjacent to Alleghany Regional Hospital in case of emergencies
• Physician/nurse practitioner in-house 5 days week for urgent care needs
